I was just looking through some of Herb Ritts’ work from the 90s, and came across this shot of Madonna in Tatler. And that bustier looked really familiar all of a sudden…

It was Helmut Newton that said, “A woman does not spend her life sitting or standing in front of a seamless white paper background.” But Ritts shot the vast majority of his models in front of a plain white wall on his roof. ===★
